Best R Package For Missing Covariate ( Clinical ) Data

Hi,

I am trying to find DEGs from microarray data - however I do have a lot of clinical data which is to be used as covariates. I wanted to know is multiple imputation of both categorical and continuous data using MICE package in R a good method ? Or is there a better alternative ?
