Does PLINK only deal with SNP?

According to the file formats described in PLINK tutorial,it seems the toolset can only analyze SNP.Can PLINK deal with other genetic markers like STR which has multi-alleles and isn't single nucleotide variation?

PLINK 1.x can handle multiple-nucleotide variations, but not multiallelic variants. PLINK 2.0 can handle multiallelic variants.
