estimated library size picard

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding the estimated library size from picard markduplicates tool. I am consistently and in a lot of different analysis getting some really really high numbers in the estimated_library_size calculation, up to 160-200 million. Which does not seem to be a normal number for library size nor agrees with the number of reads I get from other tools like the samtools flagstat. Could someone please let me know how is the number calculated, the equation they present in the code is not so clear to me, and if those numbers are possible?

Hi! Have you seen How is 'ESTIMATED_LIBRARY_SIZE' computed in picard tools?

Thanks, I did. But it is not very clear to me which of those numbers they are calculating in picard at the end and I can't understand how to interpret it.
