I am visualizing a short peptide sequence network and my node table has the amino acid sequences split into columns (i.e. Col1: F, Col2:A, Col3:A, Col4:L, etc). When I click on a node, I like to color the background in the sequence table by amino acid type, for example in the table aromatic residues are color1, basic residues are color2, aliphatic are color3, etc.

I can do this manually in cytoscape but it is quite laborious. Is there a fast way to do this and apply it to other networks? When I try to export this style it doesn't give my any options. Is there any other option to control the table styles?

I would recommend trying the Cytoscape 3.10 Beta. Table styles are now part of the style sheet and can be copied, saved, and restored. Note that this is a Beta and there are known bugs, including the fact the it's not signed for the Mac platform.
