Issues while installing VG

Hi,

I am trying to install vg on my Mac (M1 Pro) and during the 'make' command I am getting the following error:

LDFLAGS are -L/usr/local/lib -L/opt/homebrew/lib -L/opt/homebrew/opt/libomp/lib
make: *** No rule to make target `lib/libsdsl.a', needed by `obj/aligner.o'.  Stop.

I also had the same error when I tried installing it on linux. Can anyone please help me debug it?

You need to clone with --recursive as described here: https://github.com/vgteam/vg#building-on-linux
