This 4-day hands-on course is designed for biologists and life scientists with little or no prior programming experience. You’ll learn Python from the ground up, focusing on practical applications in biology.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Write and run Python code to process and analyse biological data
- Use key bioinformatics libraries (e.g., Biopython)- Apply statistics and data visualisation (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly)
- Write organised and reusable code
- Develop a small project tailored to their own field
 
Daily projects include DNA sequence manipulation, complex field data handling, ChIP-seq data, and viral genomics.
