Using Platform Lsf To Parallelize Basic Bioinformatics Tasks

Hi,

I have used Platform LSF in the past but usually with programs that were already written therefore I have no experience of writing even simple scripts that parallelize with LSF.

I am wondering if there is any information source out there that would explain as concisely as possible how to utilize it for basic bioinformatics tasks like read alignment.

I'd suggest contacting your compute facility to give you some basic intro material on using LSF locally. There really isn't anything specific to submitting bioinformatics jobs.
