Hello, I am from software application development background, new to genomics, big-data. I moved to new job where they do sequencing. Now, I have some .txt, .tsv files, short read files, I need to find out tool for SNP calling and then assemble sequences. I have browsed through and found different tools like cloud burst etc. but none of them are expecting text file as input. Please guide me to find out the appropriate tool and how to work on it, what will be the price for the tool. Prefer tools on amazon as I cannot afford to install on my machine. Request and appreciate detailed explanation as my understanding on genomics jargon is little.

There's not enough information here to help you out. Most assembly tools will expect read data as input. Most SNP calling tools will expect a BAM file for input. As no one knows what is in your text, tsv files, or what kind of short read files you are dealing with it's hard to make suggestions. What organism are you working on? What is the aim of the work you are doing? Do you really need to assemble data, or do you already have a known organism reference sequence?

Thank you. I am not sure what information I can give you. that was what all I know about what I should be doing, may be I need to ask questions, but not really sure what questions I should ask. If I am not mistaken this is human exome data what I got from my boss and I am asked to find out tool and work on tools for snp calling. Sorry for being so naive, as I mentioned I have 0 experience in this field. Let me know what I should go back and ask them so that there is some information
