Hi, there is a previous post Trimming gapped ends from a multiple alignment. I tried it but I got this error cut: invalid byte, character or field list. can someone help me with that THANKS

Hi, please include the link to the previous post in your question. Also, include the R libraries and the commands you used that ended up in error. Ideally, a minimum reproducible example (that is, code that we can copy/paste and run in our computers in order to reproduce the error). If not, the output of traceback() and sessionInfo() could be valuable to anyone trying to help.

There are several suggestions in that post. Which one you used? You tagged your question as R, but none of the options offered in that post are about R scripts (there is one bash script). Do you want to do this in R?

yes I used bash script trimend.sh
