LAST Aligner: last-train output

I'm running last-train lastdb fasta and I'm confused on the output for this command.

The documentation online is sparse. Does anyone have experience with using last-train for lastal?

Are you using the script correctly? lastdb is the name of the program to make a database, you are supposed to use as:

last-train somedb my.fasta

Also, see the paper from last-train, it explain at greater length how the script works.
