how to calculate p value for every gene using this formula p (x)=p(xi | pai) ?

what are the values xi and pai?

where to get those values from?

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, very good questions indeed.

I would go even further: p value of what for every gene? Where this formula came from? What is the context? How do you expect to get help if you don't provide enough background?

hi,thanks for the reply. i'm doing my project on"DNA based disease prediction using pathway analysis".and i'm doing this to predict diabetes.i need to calculate correlation for every gene pairs for example(HLADQB1 and HLADQA1) then using this correlation value i should calculate p values using this formula.
