Hi everyone,
I am commencing my honours project this year and part of my project require me to doing ribosome profiling.
The only available kit- TruSeq Ribo Profile was discontinued this year and I was given this protocol instead . This protocol encourage the use of Harringtonine to immobilize initiating ribosomes, but my project required me to work with tissues (Heart and liver tissues of mice) only. I am not too sure if the drug will be effective to tissues and since this drug is considered a dangerous item (as seen from MSDS), I am certain it will take quite awhile for approval.
Can I kindly ask any researchers out there to advise me with this issue? :((
