I'm trying to analyse RIP-seq data from experiments done on bacteria. I got interested into using RIPSeeker, and particularly into the main function ripSeek. However, ripSeek requires a genome name under the argument "genomeBuild", which is then used to to obtain the chromosome information from online UCSC database. Or there is no bacterial genomes on the main UCSC database (genome.UCSC). Some are in the microbes.UCSC database, but not all of them, so my question is double: - can RIPSeeker get genome info from the microbes.UCSC database ? - Is there a way to use it with genomes stored locally and/or found only in other databases ?
