Hello! I just read a paper (https://academic.oup.com/icb/article/56/6/1103/2647085) where they show the number of contigs assigned to the same accesion number after doing a blast search. They do this to show the redundancy of contigs trinity produces.
I would like to do a similar analysis to my data. Im doing annotation via Trinotate. I just did my blastx and blastp. How can i do this? does blast have a built in tool for this?

how about getting the hit IDs and comparing them (or group them on) ?
