I uploaded a Genbank .gbff.gz file of Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron to RAST for annotation. After annotation, there are significant differences between subsystem annotations in my new upload and the original version of the same genome that RAST has.

Example of subsystem annotations missing When I search for a particular function, it appears that the same genes are present (and annotated correctly), but in my new upload, they have not been assigned a subsystem, whereas in the original RAST version, they have. Is that because this subsystems have been manually curated in the original RAST genomes?
