I have SNP data. Without further experiments, how do I define telomeric and interstitial regions for each chromosome and for each of my samples in my dataset? I have read that the cut-off points vary hugely. Is there not some data-dependent way of estimating the size and boundaries of the telomeric regions for a given chromosome, for a given sample?
