Orthofinder returning error max file limit reached.

I am running Orthofinder on 191 species, and it is returning the error quoted below, "ERROR: The system limits on the number of files a process can open is too low. For 191 species OrthoFinder needs to be able to open at least r=36581 files. Please increase the limit and restart OrthoFinder"

I have increased the file opening limit in /etc/security/limits.conf. But still, the error persists.

Guidance required.
