Hi,

i have to identify and classify publications and patents in the field of medical technology. In Germany we subsume under "Medizintechnik" many different fields of research, but it seems to be that this term is not popular at the international level. These publications and patents shall be used for classification in data mining.

Do you know where I can find explicit data (publications and patents) in the field of medical technology (ideally from Pubmed) and which keywords or search terms (or MeSH terms) i should use to get data which is usable for classification in data mining?

I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Categories such as determined by the Global Medical Devices Nomenclature (GMDN) Agency (http://www.eucomed.be/medical-technology) are apparently not used in PubMed as MeSH terms. Are there no standardized terms which are use as MeSH terms regarding medical technology?
