How many nodes should be in the STRING database? Does it have a standard?

Hello, I have a genome-wide study and have different numbers of proteins in the protein domain I'm working with, like 30, 49, 130 protein. I want to study protein-protein interaction with STRING. For example, when I loaded 49 proteins, I got 20 nodes, 11 edges (medium confidence). In some videos, the "more" option is selected in order to increase the number of nodes. In the videos I watch, the "more" option is clicked until the number of "expected number of edges" is 3 times the number of proteins we have loaded. Why is the "more" option clicked until 3 times the "expected number of edges" is obtained? Can you help with this? What should I do? Thanks.
