In GWAS catalog, a specific trait like Apolipoprotein A levels is assigned a broader parent term like Lipid or lipoprotein measurement. Now I'm trying to assign EWAS traits broader parent terms. I could use the GWAS catalog mapping from traits to parent terms, but realize that certain EWAS traits such as age have never been investigated and hence no corresponding parent term.
Is there a system I can follow to group specific EWAS traits according broader parent terms?
