16S (18S) rRNA primer design

Hello Biostars,

I'm designing primers sets for different taxonomic nodes and want some advice to know what is the 'gold standard' these days for 16S(18S) rRNA amplicon seq (from environmental samples). I've used mopo16s before, is this still a preferred tool? Does NCBI have something built-in to their taxonomy datasets for primer design?
