Hello, my name is Ksenia. I am writing a master's thesis. To do this, I need to understand what methods of probe synthesis companies use, such as Agilent/IDT, etc. I know classical synthesis methods consisting of 4 stages, some types of printing, PCR synthesis and synthesis using ligase (chemical-enzymatic). But for example, Agilent receives probes based on SurePrint technological equipment operating on the principle of ink-jet printing. What does the synthesis scheme look like in this case? I have assumptions that some stages of classical organic synthesis are absent in this case, because they are unnecessary and in order to increase the speed and yield of synthesis.

Google for a molecular biology subReddit for example.
