VEP v107 installation problem - CHECKSUMS

Hello,

I wanted to install the newest version of ensembl vep (107), however when installing the cache the following error appears:

 - downloading ftp://ftp.ensembl.org/pub/release-107/variation/indexed_vep_cache/homo_sapiens_vep_107_GRCh38.tar.gz 
curl failed (550), trying to fetch using LWP::Simple
LWP::Simple failed (404), trying to fetch using HTTP::Tiny
ERROR: Failed last resort of using HTTP::Tiny to download ftp://ftp.ensembl.org:21/pub/release-107/variation/indexed_vep_cache/CHECKSUMS

Furthermore, I checked the path "ftp://ftp.ensembl.org:21/pub/release-107/variation/indexed_vep_cache/CHECKSUMS" and figured out that it doesn't exist.

Any ideas about this?

Hi Filago,

The Ensembl 107 release was launched on Tuesday this week (12th July) and there were some unanticipated issues with the availability of files on the FTP site that persisted into Wednesday (13th July). We believe that this issue has now been fixed so please do contact helpdesk[at]ensembl.org if you continue to experience any problems.

Today I tried the installation again, however the same error occurred and the CHECKSUMS file is still not included on the FTP-server.

No problem.

We are aware of a number of persistent issues affecting the stability of the FTP site and availability of files, including CHECKSUMS in the latest release of Ensembl. We are working to fix these issues as quickly as possible.

I will update you as soon as we have been able to fix this issue.
