Hi all,

I am trying to understand a RNA-Seq data-set, and for this it would be nice to get to know the functions and location of the protein of a specific gene. So for instance:

BCAR1 - Cell membrane - Docking protein which plays a central coordinating role for tyrosine kinase-based signaling related to cell adhesion.

Would there be a R package that will do this kind of stuff?

thanks in advance.

Bioconductor contains a number of annotation packages and you can retrieve more via BioMart. The InterPro annotation might be a good place to start.
