Can I add TPM values of Isoforms of the same gene to get total gene expression?

Hi, I have RNA seq data of various samples at different physiological conditions. I want to make a TPM heatmap to compare the raw data across these different conditions. However, I have multiple transcript variants/isoforms mapping to the same geneID. How do I condense these to a single geneID: sum all the TPM values of transcript isoforms?

Yes, you can sum the TPM values of individual transcripts to get a gene-level TPM.
