BioLabDNA is one time purchase program with lifetime updates including new features.

This program is aimed at researches in the molecular biology field. BioLabDNA is the document based app focused on the analysis and manipulation of DNA sequences. The user can open as many files as needed. The program is designed to facilitate the cloning of restricted DNA fragments into the vector. It also provides the tools for the analysis of protein sequences, DNA/RNA/protein alignment and assembly of DNA reads. The graphical interface enables easy manipulation of both vector/insert DNA and larger DNA sequences such as bacterial genomes.

The user can :

  • open files with the extensions: .txt, .rtf, .fasta, .fas, .fa, .fsa, .ffn, .fna, .seq, .ape, .gb, .gbk, .ab1, .xdna, .dna, .faa, .seq, .fastq, .aln, .phylip, .blalignment. (The program reads files created by Serial Cloner(.xdna), DNA Strider(.xdna), SnapGene(.dna) and ApE (.ape) programs.);
  • save files with the extensions: .txt, .rtf, .fasta, .fas, .fa, .fsa, .ffn, .fna, .seq, .gb, .gbk, .ab1, .blalignment;
  • transcribe, reverse complement and translate DNA sequence;
  • get Tm, %GC, Mw, length of selected DNA and protein Mw (average and monoisotopic), length of protein, amino acid composition, protein net charge;
  • find open reading frames (ORFs);
  • find sequence motifs (repeats, palindromes, stem loops and arbitrary sequences) in DNA sequence;
  • generate primers;
  • view ABI sequencing chromatogram and edit the DNA read sequence;
  • generate ORF silent mutations;
  • optimize codons in ORF;
  • view GC content, CpG islands and Stem Loops;
  • generate Plasmid and Text map using feature annotations from genbank file;
  • generate and edit DNA features for genbank format files;
  • generate DNA features database and perform DNA features annotation;
  • copy/paste the selected DNA sequence with DNA features;
  • cloning of a restricted DNA fragment;
  • find/highlight DNA restriction sites and DNA fragments;
  • create virtual DNA gel;
  • perform multiple alignment and realignment of DNA/RNA/protein sequences;
  • assemble the sequencing reads from .ab1 or txt files;
  • perform prediction of protein secondary structures;
  • create protein hydropathicity/pI plots;
  • find/highlight protease sites and protein fragments.
