BETA whether on the same scale when performing rank-based inverse normal transformation on the same type of phenotype data for two cohorts separately and conducting GWAS on the transformed data?

Hi,

I want to ask that when performing rank-based inverse normal transformation on the same type of phenotype data for two cohorts separately and conducting GWAS on the transformed data, should the beta/SE in these two GWAS results still be considered to be on the same scale?

I primarily want to confirm whether two GWAS summary datasets, which have been subjected to rank-based inverse normal transformations separately before GWAS, can be meta-analyzed using the inverse-variance weighting method? I found that some literature suggests that they are on different scales, hence opting for sample size weighting, while other studies do not consider this issue.

Thanks for your help in advanced!
