I am new to this page and still figuring out how things work.
I was wondering if anyone had advice for someone who has masters from international university and want to enter the field on bioinfo in Canada. To provide background: I have M.Sc. in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, after that I started teaching Python/SQL for about an year and that’s about it. Now, being in Canada for 7 months, I have yet to find any job. Currently, I am doing a 3-month course on Big Data & Cloud Computing.
Would anyone be able to provide me insight into what position should I be specifically looking for to enter in my field. To be honest, I kindly feel a little lost at the moment and just need somebody to point me in the right direction, or even if anyone can suggest some certifications/courses which can help me get into the field.
