I'm trying to test nanopore sequencing error correction strategies. I want to process these reads with hifiasm-ont, however hifiasm-ont has a built in error correction module. Does anyone know if you can run hifiasm without the running the built-in error correction module, essentially just injecting your own assembled reads into the assembler.

On the other hand, does anyone know how you can run just the error correction module on the reads themselves, without running the whole assembler?

I think it's better to ask such questions in Issues on GitHub (https://github.com/chhylp123/hifiasm/issues). This is a highly specialized question, and, I think, you'll have the best answer from the authors of Hifiasm.
