Hi BioStars community,
I’m a recent Statistics graduate with experience in predictive modeling and data analysis using R. As someone completely new to bioinformatics, I’m eager to dive into the field and learn from experienced researchers.
My main interest is in applying machine learning particularly Bayesian methods to RNA-seq data analysis, using R-based tools exclusively. I’m looking for mentors or collaborators who can guide me through projects, help me replicate ML-based bioinformatics papers, and teach me how to write research papers.
I’m open to remote collaboration, sharing ideas, and starting small to build my skills. If you have ongoing work in RNA-seq or related areas such as genomics or epigenomics, I’d be happy to contribute my statistics background in R while learning from you.
Thank you for any advice or opportunities to collaborate!
