Dear all,
There are still two seats left for the upcoming Autumn School in Bioinformatics, which will take place online next week (October 20–24).
Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course68/
This hands-on course will introduce participants to the field of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) — from understanding key concepts to handling and analysing sequencing data. Over five days, we will cover:
Quality assessment of sequencing runs
Genome assembly and annotation (short and long reads)
RNA-seq and differential gene expression
Phylogenetics and phylogenomics with NGS data
Reproducible analyses using Docker, Singularity, Nextflow/Snakemake
Designed for researchers with a biological background, this course combines theoretical lectures with practical sessions and live coding exercises. By the end of the week, participants will be able to handle NGS data confidently and apply state-of-the-art bioinformatic methods in their own research.
Best regards,
Carlo
