SUMMARY
At InterVenn Biosciences, our mission is to advance a new era of personalized medicine by decoding the human glycoproteome – glycosylated proteins which are responsible for driving protein function – revealing a rich source of biological insights that has the potential to significantly improve drug development and patient outcomes. We have pioneered an AI- and ML-powered, high-throughput biomarker discovery platform called GlycoVision, enabling a high-resolution view into an untapped layer of biology at a clinically meaningful scale for the first time in history.
We are looking for a highly motivated Sr. Manager, Clinical Data Science to join our Biostatistics and Data Science team, based in South San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role with in office expectation of 2-3 days per week, reporting to our Chief Data Officer. This pivotal role will work closely with Executive Management and the R&D team to generate clinically relevant information using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The preferred candidate will have 10+ years of experience modeling health care data in the biotech industry and have the requisite programming and statistical knowledge to turn patient data into clinically-actionable diagnostics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Use statistical and machine learning methods to gain insight into clinical biomarker data and ensure data integrity Stay current with emerging AI trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical efficiency Provide cross-functional data support, primarily through ongoing data reviews and support for novel R&D projects Champion technical growth within the Data Science team Represent the Data Science team in cross-functional working groups and workflow process improvements Distill complicated datasets into reports and digestible insights for wider audiences Communicate scientific and statistical results with external stakeholders
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Master's or PhD in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical data programming or clinical data science in the biotech industry Multi-omic data analysis preferred Proficiency in R and Python, experience with GitHub preferred Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate non-technical requirements into technical solutions

Strong proficiency in GSuite products: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2-3 days per week onsite in South San Francisco.
