Course Announcement: Multimodal AI for Systems Biology (Online, 2–6 March 2026)
This 5-day online course offers a hands-on introduction to multimodal AI for integrating and analyzing diverse biological data types using R and Python. Designed for advanced MS, PhD students, postdocs, and computational biologists with basic R/Python knowledge.
Participants will learn to:
Import, preprocess, and manage multimodal datasets
Apply supervised and unsupervised fusion methods
Use Bayesian and ensemble models for data integration
Perform meta-analysis and multiview factor modeling
Implement Multiple Instance Learning and causal AI frameworks
Quantify uncertainty and interpret multimodal models
Daily live sessions run 14:00–18:00 CET with Q&A and Slack support for ongoing discussions.
