Course Announcement: Multimodal AI for Systems Biology (Online, 2–6 March 2026)


This 5-day online course offers a hands-on introduction to multimodal AI for integrating and analyzing diverse biological data types using R and Python. Designed for advanced MS, PhD students, postdocs, and computational biologists with basic R/Python knowledge.

Participants will learn to:

  • Import, preprocess, and manage multimodal datasets

  • Apply supervised and unsupervised fusion methods

  • Use Bayesian and ensemble models for data integration

  • Perform meta-analysis and multiview factor modeling

  • Implement Multiple Instance Learning and causal AI frameworks

  • Quantify uncertainty and interpret multimodal models


Daily live sessions run 14:00–18:00 CET with Q&A and Slack support for ongoing discussions.
