Correct spelling and well-deployed punctuation are always appreciated in scientific writing.

The only thing I would recommend is reading; read, read, and read!!

If you read enough; you would be able to differentiate good writing from bad writing and enhance your scientific writing in bioinformatics in specific.

Good luck :)

Hello jack!

We believe that this post is does not fit the main topic of this site.

Mentioning the word bioinformatics in a post about scientific writing, doesn't make it a post about bioinformatics!

For this reason we have closed your question. This allows us to keep the site focused on the topics that the community can help with.

If you disagree please tell us why in a reply below, we'll be happy to talk about it.

Cheers!

Check this course on Coursera: https://www.coursera.org/course/sciwrite . Unfortunately, it starts in September 2014.

See also this page in Nature: http://www.nature.com/scitable/ebooks/english-communication-for-scientists-14053993/writing-scientific-papers-14239285

In general, just search for "how to write a scientific article" in google, and you will find many resources.
