When I downloaded the package of "affymetrix power tool", I use it to process .cel. However, I have met the problem.

When I wrote down apt-probeset-summarize -a plier-mm -d GenomeWideSNP_6.cdf -o output-dir 1.CEL. It said FATAL ERROR:No MM probe for probe with id: 3635522. I don't know what does it mean? I am sure the command I wrote is right, since I have put other .cel and the result is correct. But processing this .cel is wrong. Could someone tell what is the wrong with it?

Looking at the probe ID "3635522", I assume that you are using Affymetrix Human Gene ST arrays ?

One thing about ST arrays is, if I am not wrong, they don't have MM (mismatch) probes. So the error you are getting is valid.

Thanks a lot! However, what I want is to let .CEL be readable.Because of this error, I cannot get the result. When I process the .CEL using the APT, it would say FATAL ERROR:No MM probe for probe with id: 3635522. Though I know it is correct because of your explanation, how can I get readable results? Do you know how to process this .CEL?

and What I use is SNP chip.
