I am interested in using Genome MuSic to analyze the mutation rate of a single gene of interest (ZBTB7A) across ALL cancer types (pan-can analysis) using available data on TCGA. I understand that Genome MuSic can be used to identify significantly mutated genes (SMGs), but if I've already identified a gene of interest (which may or may not be significantly mutated, depending on the cancer type/sample), what would the workflow look like for a project like this? I'm fairly new to cancer genomic analyses and computational biology, so please forgive me for my inexperience.
