I want to do gene set enrichment analysis of fatty acid metabolism. The first step is to curate the dataset on this group of genes. I checked the genes from Broad institute, they collected 42 genes from KEGG database. I also find gene set which is provided by QiaGene PCR array, which includes 84 genes. So, the problems is , which one should I use to do GSEA? Who are experts in this filed and what about their recommendations? If above information is not available, how can I (use what kind of criteria) double check and update those datasets?

If you look into the EMBL-EBI GO term specifically fatty acid metabolsm (there are several co-occuring terms) which are cross referenced, then you get list of of genes. e,g, here.

Thanks. This is the third way to retrieve the data-set on fatty acid metabolism. My worry is that, I compare those datasets from different sources, they are overlapped but not identical. I want to make sure which one is authoritative and most updated.
