Is there a database where I can find .bam files of human genomes NOT included in the 1000 genome project? For example, I believe the aboriginal genome was recently sequenced, but I cannot find the sequence file.

Regarding the aboriginal sequence: it was published in Science, so you cannot expect much attention to be paid to trifling aspects such as data sharing ;)

However - if you read the supplementary material (PDF), you will find details of sequencing, alignment and genotyping and the sentence:

The alignment (BAM) files for hg18 and GRCh37 are available at https://www.cbs.dtu.dk/projects/AboriginalAustralian/

In general, individual labs often maintain their own databases; there is no single database containing "not 1000 genomes" data. Best way to find them is to read the associated publication carefully.

Yes, try writing to groups that have published work on human genome data and they should (by law I believe) tell you where you can find the data they analyzed.
