We are seeking an innovative investigator with a strong research background in Bioinformatics or Statistical Genetics to lead an independent research program within the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (VCCRI), Sydney, Australia — an independent research organisation committed to excellence in basic and translational biomedical research that is affiliated with the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
Preference will be given to individuals whose research can complement our existing research activities in bioinformatics, genomics, and epigenomics.
The successful candidate will be provided with office and support space, and significant financial support to rapidly establish their program, and will be eligible for an academic appointment at UNSW.
Your research program might focus on one or more of the following areas, closely linked with experimental science within the VCCRI: whole genome sequencing analysis, disease gene discovery, clinical genomics, transcriptional regulation, epigenetics, transcriptomics and systems biology. The successful applicant will be expected to develop or continue a vigorous independent research program, secure and maintain extramural research funding, and participate in graduate and postdoctoral training.
