The initial posting for a vacancy for a computational biologist to join our group was posted under the heading below:

3 year grant funded position to help analyze phylodynamics of 1,300 international whole-genome Enterobacteriaceae superbug sequences

We have since filled the original vacancy with a candidate who replied to the above post. Additional funding has been secured for a second computational biologist as the sequence load in Singapore and from overseas continues to increase.

Additional research output since the last post has been the description and characterization of a novel NDM-positive plasmid, pSg1-NDM as detailed in the following ICAAC 2015 abstract:

Findings are currently in review for publication.

Our current new funded project focuses on translating whole-genome sequencing to bedside application to inform infection control interventions for Gram-negative antimicrobial resistance superbug control.

We invite any potential interested candidates to drop an email to oontek@gmail.com to arrange a chat.
