Hi All,

A naive question, Can we find layer specific (mesoderm , endoderm and ectoderm) gene expression for human? I mean for certain genes which are only expressed only in 1 of the 3 layers and silenced in other two layers.

If these genes exist? How many genes would belong to these layer specific gene expression?

By the way, Do you know how to assign the gem-layer for the following tissues:

ID Tissue
0 bladder
1 blood
2 bone
3 bone_marrow
4 brain
5 cervix
6 colon
7 eye
8 heart
9 kidney
10 larynx
11 liver
12 lung
13 lymph
14 mammary
15 muscle
16 ovary
17 pancreas
18 peripheral_nervous_system
19 placenta
20 prostate
21 skin
22 small_intestine
23 soft_tissue
24 spleen
25 stomach
26 testis
27 thymus
28 tongue
29 uterus

Thanks.

Dear Scicheng,

Maybe the EBI-gene expression atlas (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/gxa/home) can be useful. I prefer the old site (http://www-test.ebi.ac.uk/gxa/). You can specify conditions and so on.

Hope it helps,

Regards,
