How to infer individuals with same mutation come from a common ancestor within 5 generations

I have some WES data for several individuals. After mapping with bwa and calling variations with GATK, I got vcf file for each sample and found they all got a same rare mutation.

How should I do with haplotype phasing and infer if they inherited from a recent common ancestor within five generations.

If you have the pedigrees for the samples, it's pretty straightforward - you check the inheritance pattern generation by generation as you phase each individual starting from the target working your way backwards.
