I previously asked this question here:

Creating a 'subsetted' genbank of an operon from a whole genome

And accepted an answer using CLC which did work for the couple that I was doing at the time.

I'm now wondering if anyone has a commandline script/app/pipeline that would work for this as I need to do a fair few more, and doing them by hand will be a less than pleasant experience.

I need to do this because I need all the locus tags/gene IDs to be preserved - but not really sure how to go about it?

Wrote my own in the end! Fairly novice biopython-er so suggestions/feedback welcomed.
