ERROR: bcl2fastq::common::Exception: 2016-Sep-13 14:14:08: Success (0): /home/sequencing/src/software/bcl2fastq/src/cxx/lib/layout/BarcodeCollisionDetector.cpp(135): Throw in function void bcl2fastq::layout::BarcodeCollisionDetector::validateNewBarcodeSizesAgainstExisting(const std::vector<long unsigned="" int="">&) const Dynamic exception type: boost::exception_detail::clone_impl<bcl2fastq::layout::barcodecollisionerror> std::exception::what: Barcodes components must have the same size.

I used --barcode-mistmatches 0. Still it gives me the same error message. Did anyone experience this before. If so how did you deal with it.

Thanks,

Can you post the sample sheet so we can see the barcodes?

The error states "Barcodes components must have the same size". This is different than the usual error caused by mismatches. I assume the problem is that some of the barcodes are different length. Even if they look the same, it's possible that they may contain invisible characters (such as spaces). Try opening your sample sheet in a plain text editor and check for that.

If you are interested, you can also check out deML, a maximum-likelihood demultiplexer:

https://grenaud.github.io/deML/

It is designed to handle collisions in the indices.
