I am dealing with a weirdly formatted genotype file (I have geno/ind/snp files).

The *.geno file looks like this:

Any idea what format I am dealing with? Thanks!

That looks like something binary?

I'm guessing this is a [edit: EIGENSTRAT was incorrect] PACKEDANCESTRYMAP fileset, which can be converted to other formats with the convertf utility (see http://genepath.med.harvard.edu/~reich/InputFileFormats.htm ).

Doesn't look like it is Eigenstrat.

"The genotype file contains 1 line per SNP. Each line contains 1 character per individual:"

Sorry, you're correct that the eigenstrat format there isn't binary. It might be packedancestrymap, though?
