Unknown Gene IDs

Hi,

I've been finding gene ids of the type VIT_03s0088g00710 in some of the articles I'm reading right now, they seem to map to the same genes in different articles, so I understand they're not random. What kind of gene IDs are those?

Thanks!

Thank you very much, that was fast.

Do you know what they are? From what I understand, these would be the IDs that were assigned to genes that were determined when the reference genome was sequenced.

On here, they appear to map to other databases.

Thanks again for this great answer!

No problem, you're welcome!

Yes, I think these are the names that Padua University gave them during their sequencing effort. But I am not sure...
