The title says it all. Which do you use/recommend, and why?
I have been using Microsoft R Open (https://mran.microsoft.com/open/) since 2015 and I now use it as standard (unless I'm forced to use the 'original' R if it's installed on a compute cluster). The main benefit of Microsoft R is that many of the base R functions have been enabled for parallel processing. Other than that, using it is just like using the orginal R.
Disclaimer: I don't work for Microsoft and never have.
