HELP pl. Is there someone out there who can calculate the fold-change in several samples (treated vs controls) if given the spreadsheet with output from RT-PCR run on LCS480? Time is of essence and I don't have the software to do it automatically. Many thanks, T
There are many people that can do that, including you. This is possible in R or even excel, if you have the Ct values.
Thanks Devon. I would need someone to do this for me. Including making the excel spreadsheet from the run output and well-map!
Stop being lazy.
Do you mean the 2^(-ΔΔCt) method?
As Devon implied, this can be programmed directly into Excel (I've done it countless times).
There's information 'all over' Google on this, here was my first good hit: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4280562/
Would really need someone to do this for me. Including making the excel spreadsheet from the run output and well-map! Thanks for your response.
Take a look at the screenshot below, in which I've given you a very simple example from my own published data on breast cancer. We were looking at HER2 amplification in a breast cancer cell-line in which HER2 is amplified up to 17 times (17 * 2 alleles = 34 relative quantification).
