Due to expansion, we are currently in search of an experienced R Software Developer to join our team to support development of our state of the art, cloud based simulation platform. The successful candidate will help our customers optimise clinical trial design and analysis. Purpose
To work closely with our product owners to support advanced application development of our state of the art, cloud based computer simulation platform for the optimisation of clinical trial design and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of R code to support ongoing product development.
- Collaboration with product owners to design new features.
- Playing an integral part of an agile product development team.
- Regular peer code reviews.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of core product.
- Clearly and regularly communicate status and progress.
Essential Criteria:
- Significant experience in working with R, Python or similar programming language.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles.
- Degree in a subject with high mathematical content.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly in both written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria:
- MSc or PhD in a subject with statistical computational content.
- Experience in designing and analysing data, in a biomedical or pharmaceutical context.
- Experience of modelling and/or simulation.
- Working knowledge of complex applications architecture.
- R package development.
- Experience in working in an agile software development environment.
- Working knowledge of source control (e.g. git) and issue tracking (e.g. JIRA) tools.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript (AngularJS), and/or SQL.
