Hello.

As mentioned in the title, I'm trying to annotate microarray results. To do this, I downloaded from Affymetrix the annotation file for my microarray HG-U219.na36.annot.csv and with a script I created a new column that contained the gene symbol/name. I summarized the ones that referred more than one time in the same gene symbol but some probesets mapped into such gene symbols :

"ANKRD36 /// ANKRD36C"
"LOC101929777 /// WNT3"
"CYP51A1 /// LRRD1"

How do you guys deal with that?

Were they together like that in the original file or were they brought together by post-processing you did.

They are together in the original file and not due to any post-processing.
